Creation of the RADPASS checklist for Increased Safety in Interventional Radiology 

While there is incredible clinical value in the use of interventional radiologic procedures, the complexity and variety of these procedures demands the use of a checklist approach to increase standardization, consistency and safety. The first validated patient safety checklist for interventional radiology was developed. The use of the RADPASS checklist reduced deviations from the optimal process by three quarters and was associated with less procedure postponements.
